Week 5, Lesson 5.6

Every request is information. Not an order.

Ten guests are about to walk up to your booth. Some want a song that fits right now. Some want a great song at the wrong time. Some want a song that can never be played. One keeps coming back. Your job is to keep the floor alive, the client happy, and every guest feeling heard.

1
Follow the hierarchyClient instructions first. Couple, host or planner second. Guest requests are information.
2
Saving is not a promiseAdd songs to your request playlist. Watch for patterns. Several different people asking is data. One person asking five times is still one person.
3
Use the When ApproachWindows open at genre changes and resets. Cash in saved requests then, not before.
Pick your difficulty

About eight minutes. Pick what you would really do. The answers are scored against the Week 5 lessons. Hit Hear it on any requested song to play a 30 second clip of the real recording, just like cueing it in headphones.

Built from Event DJ Academy Lesson 5.6, Handling Requests Without Losing Control, with ideas from Lessons 5.2 and 5.4 on energy flow and BPM changes. Characters and songs are fictional examples. Song previews are provided by Apple.
